What: White diamond

This was a themed event with
the theme being white diamond. This was a really good night. One of the dancers
took to wearing large playing cards. He had stuck them on to a piece of black
material. These playing cards were of course diamonds. He looked really good
and stood out.
I had a really good night. I
had some good dances from the men. There were a lot of good dancers there
tonight. Lisa Pang who works on the door in Leeds brought along her daughter Kaitlyn
and she looked lovely. Everyone looked good and most people stuck to the theme.
The music was really good
thanks to Chris and Jonathon. Chris Uren played the line dance and there weren’t
many of us doing it. Most of the people doing it were those who come to St
Chads on a Monday which was a bit disappointing in my opinion. I thought it
would have encouraged more of the other people to give it a go. This looks to
me like only the Leeds venues do the line dance.
It was a really busy night. When
I went upstairs to the other room that does Blues, Tango and West Coast Swing
there want many people there. I had one dance with a guy and then went back downstairs
to the main room which was really good. That room is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes
it’s busy and others it’s dead or is busy with couples that are only dancing
with that person. It can be hard to get a dance sometimes.
The next freestyle at
Tadcaster is 23rd August 2013. It’s at the Riley Smith Hall venue
and is 8pm – 12pm.
