Ceroc at St Chad’s Intermediate Routine 15/07/13

Tonight saw James Richardson as teacher, Suzanne Berson as demo and Chris Uren as DJ.

Tonight was a great night. Was really hot and that didn’t seem to put people off coming tonight.
Here is tonight’s intermediate routine:

This routine is really good. I liked the dip / drop with the last move. Teaching dips and drops is really good when the teacher shows us how the men (leaders) and the women (followers) do their parts. Here is James showing us ladies (follows) how we should do the dip / drop so that we can support our own weight:

This was filmed by Chris Smith. Thanks Chris.

Tonight was really good and really hot. I had so much fun. I got some great dances with some great dancers. The music was really good thanks to Chris.

If you are in the team we did manage to get together tonight to go over what we did on Sunday at the team meeting. This was really good as we were able to see who was still interested in doing the team. Next team meeting will be on Sunday I think and I assume it will be same time and same place as last time. Look out for the email confirming it.

Today was Rachel Uren’s birthday. Chris and James decided to do the birthday circle where the birthday person and in this case Rachel dances with a man and in her case it was Chris. The men or leaders then swap so that she gets to dance with all the men / leaders in the room. This happens with only one song. It’s really fun. Rachel seemed to have fun.

I am looking forward to Wednesday night at Queen’s Hall in Leeds, 8pm. I hear James Richardson will be DJ-ing.

If you fancy coming down next week to learn Ceroc (modern jive) or just want to try somewhere new it’s Monday at St Chads in Leeds on Otley Road. Starts at 7:30pm
